Trendsetter me

I guess The Guardian has an article referring Kissinger & Co.'s influence on the White House. I see Atrios and Josh are blogging about the old fart now. Geez, I'm such a trendsetter.

Ok, actually I'm just an old broad who's lived through it all and knew the minute he reared his 200 lb. head that he was busy fucking things up again. He whispered his foul breath in Nixon's ear and dragged us deeper and deeper into the quagmire of Vietnam, now he's fogging up Bush's brain, as if it isn't foggy enough already. Good grief, what a pair, Kissinger and Bush. No, what a threesome, Kissinger, Nixon and Bush. There's a special place reserved for all three in the ninth level of Dante's Inferno, I hope.

Oh, and while I'm at it, this bullshit about "political will" Kissinger's turning Bush's head with has been echoing around the media attached to a myth. I've heard several times that if Roosevelt, Lincoln, etc., had listened to "polls", that is, the people, they would have ended their wars, blah, blah. That's shit. Lies. Fabrications. Go back and read your history, folks. Don't get it from talking heads. They lie, and they think a person can lie about history like lying about having whole wheat toast for breakfast instead of a doughnut.

Of course, they can if you insist on remaining ignorant and gullible. Don't.

UPDATE: Check out James Wolcott's post and how it dovetails nicely with silly bit above.
